# Sudoku Sama > Sudoku Sama is an iPhone and iPad app by sleep9ull. It asks for one key placement in a daily 6×6 Sudoku puzzle, with no timer. Today’s puzzle is free. Sudoku Sama is not affiliated with sudokusama.com. This file restates the public site. It does not add ratings, download counts, or a ranked “best” list. Play happens in the iPhone and iPad app, which requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. The website is a reading guide. ## Who it is for English-language iPhone and iPad users who want a short daily 6×6 puzzle rather than a speed score. The US App Store listing checked on 17 October 2026 was English only. ## Key facts - Daily 6×6 Sudoku, with 2×3 boxes and digits 1–6. - One key placement: the day asks where one number belongs, not that you fill every empty cell. Several deductions can still lead to that one answer. - No timer, and no speed score. - Today’s puzzle is free. No ads. No Sudoku Sama account. Subscriptions use an Apple Account. Optional sync uses iCloud. - A short science reading unlocks after a GOOD or PERFECT finish of today’s puzzle. Until you finish, only a teaser question is shown. REFERENCE opens the source. Finished Archive puzzles also have a reading. The Archive itself requires Premium. - HOW? replay is free. It plays automatically, one numbered step at a time. Tap or drag the progress bar to jump. The counter reads “Step n / N”. You can replay from the start. - Premium adds the Archive of past puzzles, hints while solving, a collection built from completed puzzles, and a member profile card to save or share. A hint highlights the cell for the first reasoning step. Monthly and annual subscriptions exist. Prices vary by region; the app’s subscription screen is the price list. - iCloud syncs dates and results only: Daily completion dates and grades, and Archive collection dates and grades. It does not sync the reading text, puzzle boards, answers, display name, or preferences. A restored puzzle can be replayed only if its content is still there. iCloud does not restore the original puzzle snapshot. - A streak counts finished daily puzzles only. GOOD and PERFECT both count. Archive completions do not. The US listing checked on 17 October 2026 showed 1 rating, which is too few to treat as a score.
