Best mini / 6×6 Sudoku apps for iPhone
This page compares mini and 6×6 Sudoku apps for English-language iPhone users. It is not a ranking. The cells record what each US App Store listing said on 17 October 2026. There are no download counts and no “best” score.
Sudoku Sama is one row in the table: a daily 6×6 puzzle that asks for one specified placement, with no timer. The other rows are separate apps. Structured fields come from the iTunes Lookup API with country=us. In-app prices come from the public US listing pages the same day, because Lookup does not return them. “Not stated” means that app’s own listing description does not say.
Checked 17 October 2026. Store search order is not a rank, and this page does not assign one.

Good Sudoku is in the table because a search for Sudoku on iPhone meets it. Its listing describes classic Sudoku, not a mini grid. Mini Sudoku: Quick Puzzles and Mini Sudoku: Daily Puzzle are two further 6×6 listings checked the same way.
Where Sudoku Sama is a poor fit
These limits are part of the product. They are not reasons to call the other apps better or worse.
- The US listing showed 1 rating on 17 October 2026. One rating is too small to treat as a quality score, so this page does not rank by stars.
- The US page said: “The developer has not yet indicated which accessibility features this app supports.” The same notice appeared on the other listings in this table that day.
- The US listing languages are English only.
- An iTunes Lookup with
country=cnreturned no Sudoku Sama result. It is not on the China storefront. - The listing requires iOS 26.0 or later. The app also requires iPadOS 26 or later. Mini Sudoku Daily’s listed minimum that day was 26.4. Several other rows run on older iOS.
- The daily goal is one specified placement, not a filled grid. If you want to complete every cell, the other 6×6 listings describe that kind of puzzle.
A smaller grid and a classic grid are different jobs. The mini versus classic guide stays on that difference, without app scores. A daily puzzle with no timer is the pace Sudoku Sama is built for. One key placement is the finish line, and the 6×6 rules are the constraints.
