Sudoku Sama Privacy Policy

Sudoku Sama is operated by sleep9ull. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our iPhone and iPad app. If you have questions, contact sleep9ull@gmail.com.
1. Information stored on your device
Sudoku Sama does not require an account or login. Your display name, tutorial progress, puzzle attempts, answers, results, streaks, saved puzzle history, archive collection, subscription access state, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Downloaded puzzles, readings, and reminder configuration are also cached locally.
The app does not upload your display name, answers, or game progress to our content service, and we do not provide account-based cloud sync. Apple may include app data in device backups depending on your settings; those backups are governed by Apple’s policies and your choices.
2. Content downloads, reminders, and technical data
The app connects to our content service, hosted using Supabase, to download puzzles, readings, and reminder configuration. These HTTPS requests expose technical information to the service, such as your IP address, request time, requested resource, response status, and client or network information included in the request. Our infrastructure providers may retain this information in operational and security logs.
We use this information to deliver content, troubleshoot failures, maintain reliability, and protect the service against abuse. These requests do not include your display name, puzzle answers, or game progress.
Daily reminders are optional and scheduled locally by iOS after you allow notifications. Reminder permission is separate from usage analytics, and reminders work without analytics. The app does not register a device push token with our service. You can manage notification permission in your device’s Settings.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Apple processes subscription payments. Sudoku Sama uses StoreKit to request product information, complete purchases, restore purchases, and verify subscription access so it can unlock past puzzles. We do not receive your card details or upload StoreKit transactions or receipts to our content or analytics services.
Your purchase and Apple Account information are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. You can view or manage a subscription through the app’s subscription screen or your Apple Account subscription settings.
4. Optional usage analytics
Usage analytics are optional. If you allow them, PostHog in the United States receives a random device identifier, app and device details, screen and app-state events, and actions and outcomes involving puzzles, tutorials, preferences (including appearance and app icon choices), content refresh and storage, external-link requests, profile sharing and photo saving, subscriptions—including product availability, plan selection, purchase, restore, and manage actions and whether subscription access is active—and reminders. Sharing and photo-save analytics do not include the image, destination, or recipient. Network services also receive your IP address.
We use this information to understand how the app is used, improve the game, and troubleshoot problems. We do not collect screen recordings, names, typed text, photos, notification text, device push tokens, advertising identifiers, StoreKit transaction identifiers, or receipts through analytics. We do not use analytics for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
When you have not yet made an analytics choice, tapping START on the welcome screen allows analytics before the tutorial begins. SKIP opens the home screen without enabling analytics. You can play without sharing analytics and change your choice at any time in Profile → About → Privacy.
5. Saving and sharing images
If you choose to save a profile card, the app asks for permission to add an image to your photo library. It does not request access to read your existing photos. You can change this permission in your device’s Settings.
Sharing is optional and starts only when you use the app’s sharing controls. A shared image may include your display name, results, streak, Premium status, or other information shown on the card. You choose the destination using Apple’s system share sheet. The app or service you choose then handles that information under its own policies. Saving or sharing an image does not upload it to our content or analytics services.
6. Service providers and international processing
Supabase supports content delivery and related operational logging. PostHog processes optional analytics only after you enable them. Apple provides App Store, TestFlight, StoreKit, device backup, notification, photo, and sharing services. If you open a linked reference, you leave the app for an external website whose own privacy policy applies.
These providers may process technical information in countries other than your own, including the United States. They handle information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve support issues. Please do not send passwords, payment information, full receipts, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Retention and your choices
Local game data remains on your device until it is removed. Deleting the app normally removes its local app data; offloading the app can retain that data, and device backups may retain copies. Images you saved to Photos and copies shared with others remain until you or the recipient remove them.
Technical logs are retained according to the applicable infrastructure plan and configuration for service operation, troubleshooting, and security. Analytics data is retained according to our PostHog project settings. Support correspondence is kept as needed to respond, resolve issues, and meet applicable obligations.
You can edit your display name, choose whether to save or share images, manage photo and notification permissions in Settings, and turn usage analytics off in Profile → About → Privacy. Turning analytics off stops new collection; a request already in flight may finish, and previously queued events may upload if you enable analytics again. Turning analytics off does not delete data already sent.
Contact sleep9ull@gmail.com to ask about information we hold or request deletion where applicable. Locating analytics records may require the anonymous identifier and approximate session time. Because game progress is stored locally without an account, we cannot access, sync, or delete it remotely. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.
9. Children
Sudoku Sama is a general-audience puzzle app and does not ask users to provide their age or register an account. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact sleep9ull@gmail.com so we can review it and take appropriate action.
10. Security and policy updates
We use HTTPS for content downloads and restrict access to the systems we operate. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
